Many people ask us about Tony Foundation’s striking multi-colored cancer ribbon logo. As you’re probably aware, there are many different ribbons signifying different types of cancer, such as pink for breast cancer, gray for brain cancer, and so on. Our multi-colored ribbon signifies the following: 1) Tony Foundation’s mission is to help people whose lives have been impacted by cancer; 2) there really are more types of cancer than most people realize (more than 100, actually); and 3) when it comes to helping families, we do not discriminate by cancer type!

Cancer touches all of us in different ways, whether we are patients, caregivers, or have loved ones affected by the disease. The founder of Tony Foundation, Tony Laudadio, is a survivor of two completely different, unrelated types of cancer. That’s rare, but not unheard of.

The bottom line is that cancer of any type, and any stage, has the potential to turn lives completely upside down. That’s why Tony Foundation is aggressively raising funds to help address critical needs for families in crisis due to cancer. Our goal is to focus on meeting immediate, existing needs for families whose primary income earners, in their most productive years, have been diagnosed with cancer and are unable to continue employment. We helped our first family in January, and our team of medical advisors have already selected our next family with whom we will be meeting and providing assistance within the coming weeks (and we can’t wait to share that story with you!)
